Turkey is justly famed for its fragrant, flavorful honey (bal) gathered from the forests and fields of Anatolia. Many areas produce superb honey, including the mountains along the Mediterranean shore near Marmaris, the mountains near Bursa, and even in Kars in extreme northeastern Turkey.

The tree is located about 10 KM up the hill from BURSA , and covers a vast area of shade of approx. 1000 square meter with a height of approx. 30 meters. It is believed that the tree is at least 600 years old. The shaded place is occupied by one of the restaurants in the area for people to enjoy taking a delicious breakfast or any other meal. The same restaurant also sells various fresh fruits of the season at very reasonable prices, for you to have on site or take away with you.

Uludağ, the ancient Mysian Olympus, is a mountain in Bursa Province, Turkey, with an elevation of 2,543 m. In Turkish, Uludağ means “great mountain”.
